The militia burns the “Wad Rawah” mosque and market and assassinates (7) people

The number of victims of the Rapid Support Forces militia attacks on the town of “Wad Rawah” in eastern Al-Jazirah State has risen to seven dead and dozens injured. While the militia set fire to the large Wad Rawah market and mosque in a retaliatory campaign, the area witnessed a large wave of displacement towards the neighboring villages.
Local sources told “Sudan Tribune”: “The number of victims of the attacks launched by the Rapid Support Forces on ‘Wadrawe’ in the Eastern Gezira locality has risen to seven dead, including a woman who was shot dead on Thursday.”
It reported the existence of kidnappings of a large number of young people in the area, with demands for financial ransoms in exchange for their release, and noted that among the abducted were girls and elderly people.
