Khartoum Water Authority Urges Consumers to Pay Bills
Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The General Director of the Khartoum State Water Authority, Engineer Advisor Mohamed Ali Al-Ajab, urged water consumers in the state’s residential neighborhoods to pay their water bills to ensure continued service and improve its quality.
In a press release on Friday, he stated that the water bill collection is very low and does not align with the population density in residential areas, noting the high operational costs of water stations, spare parts, and essential operating requirements. He explained that water production has become an expensive industry requiring significant funds to sustain it. He praised the efforts of the workers at the stations and wells in providing water supply, calling on the state’s community and its various segments to cooperate with the Authority’s upcoming campaign to collect water bills.
