The Killing of Two People in Attacks on Both Sides of the Ukraine-Russia Border

Local officials reported that two people were killed in attacks on both sides of the Ukraine-Russia border on Friday, according to Reuters.
Officials stated that three missiles struck a residential area near the northern Ukrainian city of Chernihiv, killing one person, injuring four, and destroying two houses. A photo shared by the regional governor showed a shattered facade of a house.
The governor of Russia’s southern Kursk region said a man walking along a road was killed in a drone strike in the area, parts of which are under Ukrainian control after a significant incursion five months ago.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces announced on Thursday that they had carried out a precision strike on a Russian command center in the Kursk region. The Russian military stated that it had shot down four Ukrainian missiles.
Russia claims to have regained control of most of the territory that Ukrainian forces seized after crossing into the Kursk region in August.
