Flight Suspensions at Three Russian Airports

The Russian Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) announced that airports in the cities of Nizhnekamsk, Izhevsk, and Perm temporarily suspended incoming and outgoing flights starting from 10:05 AM local time (07:15 GMT) on Sunday to ensure the safety of civilian aircraft.
The agency did not specify the reason for the decision, but Russian airports have previously been closed due to the threat of drone strikes launched by Ukraine near these airports, according to Reuters.
The three cities are located east of Moscow.
In a related development, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Sunday that air defenses had downed 61 out of 103 drones launched by Russia in a night attack. The Air Force added that 42 other drones were “lost track of,” referring to electronic jamming used by Ukraine to redirect or mislead Russian drones. No reports of significant damage or casualties have been received.
