Reports suggest that Borussia Dortmund winger Donyell Malen has agreed on personal terms with English club Aston Villa for a potential transfer during the current January window.
Dutch magazine Voetbal International and German newspaper Bild reported on Monday that Malen has agreed to a long-term contract, with only the financial terms between the two clubs yet to be finalized.
It is believed that Aston Villa has offered €18 million ($18.5 million), but the German club is demanding at least €25 million for the Dutch player.
Malen, 25, joined Dortmund from PSV Eindhoven in 2021 on a contract that runs until the summer of 2026. However, he has recently struggled for game time under Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin, who has criticized the player for his behavior at times.
Malen participated in Dortmund’s training session on Monday as the team prepared for their Bundesliga clash against defending champions Bayer Leverkusen, scheduled for Friday.
