Intensive Monitoring Efforts on Imported Goods in Al-Obeid

The Director of the Standards and Metrology Authority branch in North Kordofan, Amal Yusuf Abdullah, revealed the intensive monitoring efforts being carried out by the inspection teams to strengthen oversight on imported goods entering the city of Al-Obeid, aiming to ensure that they comply with the required standards.

She explained that the pre-entry inspections of goods have positively contributed to detecting non-compliant and damaged goods before they reach the markets, in coordination with the relevant authorities.

Amal called on merchants and shop owners to ensure the quality of imported goods and adhere to the approved standards to guarantee consumer safety and protect the markets from non-compliant products.

She urged consumers to report any violations in markets, shops, and neighborhoods by calling the number 5960.
