The organizational body of the Federal Gathering submitted a memorandum to the head of the Executive Office of the gathering, Babakir Faisal, highlighting several organizational issues facing the party. These included the freezing of the political bureau, which has led to complications due to the exploitation of the organizational situation by some factions, which caused partisan problems and interference in competencies. The memorandum called for the formation of the political bureau.
The memorandum pointed out that the roles of the Executive Office were unclear in the party’s statute, causing it to often perform tasks that should belong to the leadership body and the organizational body, alongside taking on overlapping and unclear responsibilities. The lack of clarity in handling organizational decisions has contributed to delays in decision-making, potentially leading to the party’s stagnation.
It further disclosed that elected bodies, such as in America, had contested and demanded to be the decision-making body, creating conflicts.
The memorandum urged an urgent meeting for the political bureau and the implementation of outcomes from a workshop held in March 2023 to resolve the structural issues and approve amendments to the party’s statute.
Sources from within the gathering revealed a hidden conflict between Babakir Faisal and Mohamed Al-Faki, aiming to control the gathering, with the March workshop’s recommendations intended to form a political office headed by Mohamed Al-Faki, sidelining Faisal from the leadership.
