Burhan forms an investigative committee on the “Kambo Taiba” incidents

On Wednesday, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, issued a decision to form a committee to investigate the events that occurred at Kambo Taiba in the Al-Jazeera State, headed by Yasser Bashir Al-Bukhari, the First Assistant to the Attorney General of the Republic of Sudan, with other members.
The decision stipulated that the committee’s tasks include collecting evidence and investigating the events that occurred at the Kambo in Al-Jazeera State from the scene, obtaining testimonies and statements, and summoning the individuals involved in the events and witnesses.
The decision pointed out that the committee’s duties include documenting all the steps and procedures taken during the investigation, preparing a detailed report on the facts and results reached, coordinating with government, legal, and security authorities in the state, as well as ensuring transparency in all stages of the investigation and providing accurate information to the public.
The decision grants the committee the right to seek assistance from anyone it deems appropriate and requires the committee to submit its final report within a period not exceeding one week. The members of the committee and relevant authorities were directed to implement the decision.
