Urgent Measures to Address Water Shortages in Some Areas of Khartoum
Sudan Events – Reports
The General Director of Khartoum State Water Authority, Engineer Consultant Mohamed Ali Al-Ajab, confirmed that the authority is taking urgent measures to address the water supply shortage in several areas, attributing the shortage to power outages in Khartoum State.
In a press release on Wednesday, he stated that the authority has intervened by operating wells to compensate for the shortage in supply, as well as deploying water tankers to other areas. He added that these measures are temporary until the power supply is restored and the Nile stations are operational. He apologized to the residents of the affected areas for the water supply shortages.
