Governor of River Nile: Kuwait Stood by Sudanese People

The Governor of River Nile, Dr. Mohamed Al-Badawi Abdulmajid Abu Qoron, praised the people of Al-Bajrawiya, pointing out that the history of Al-Bajrawiya dates back to 7,000 years BC, where the first iron factory was established.
During the laying of the foundation stone for the university college and vocational training center in Al-Bajrawiya, Shendi locality, on Wednesday, organized by the Al-Wabel Al-Saib Organization and funded by the Kuwait-based Tarahum Charity Association, he mentioned that the establishment of the college and vocational center would restore the area’s historic position in industry and agriculture.
The governor expressed gratitude to the State of Kuwait for supporting the Sudan Rescue Project for the River Nile, Northern, Red Sea, and Gedaref states. He added that Kuwait has always supported Sudan with its generous assistance, especially to the Sudanese people.
The governor also announced the honoring of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Sudan at the upcoming Investment and Industrial Forum for the state, in recognition of Kuwait’s stance on Sudan. He praised the initiatives of the Al-Wabel Al-Saib Organization and the Tarahum Charity Association.
On his part, the Executive Director of Shendi locality, Khaled Abdel-Ghafar, expressed his great happiness at the laying of the foundation for the college and center, highlighting the region’s history. He noted that it was one of the first areas to support the armed forces and hosted a large number of refugees.
The Executive Director of the Al-Wabel Al-Saib Organization, Omar Mohamed Abdel-Rahim, spoke about their partnership with the Tarahum Charity Association and the Sudan Rescue Project.
The foundation stone was laid in the presence of the Deputy Commander of the 3rd Infantry Division in Shendi, Major General Omar Al-Sar, the Executive Director, the Director of Shendi Local Police, Major General Police Azeddine Mohamed Ibrahim, the Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid in the state, Afaf Taj Al-Sir, and other key figures.
