Jaber Directs the Establishment of Industrial Cities in All States

Sudan Events – Follow-ups

Member of the Sovereign Council, Major General Engineer Ibrahim Jaber, stated that the Sudanese people courageously fought the battle of dignity with determination.

In his speech during the opening of the Giyada Engineering Industries Exhibition on Thursday in Port Sudan, he said, “Today, we stand in one of the battles for economic dignity, after the urban center was subjected to complete and systematic destruction, with the determination of the men, women, and children of this country who rushed to lay the foundations of Sudanese industry.”

He affirmed that Giyada is one of the major industrial pillars, vowing to stand by all industrialists to support and localize industry. He acknowledged that this year faces great challenges in promoting national industry. He highlighted the amendment of laws, including the Industrial and Investment Law and the Companies Law, noting that the government’s priority is to localize industries in Sudan, encourage industrialists, and provide industrial inputs, aiming to create jobs for Sudanese citizens.

Jaber pledged support for the industrial sector and directed the establishment of industrial cities in all states to implement industrial projects. He thanked the Nile River State for its efforts in localizing industries, as well as other states like Northern Sudan, Kassala, Gadaref, and Blue Nile.

He emphasized that Giyada and its members are the first and fundamental supporters of industry in Sudan and have contributed greatly to the state and the people. He reiterated his commitment to supporting any patriotic citizen striving to localize industry.
