The Return of Services at Agricultural Bank and Sudanese Islamic Bank in Sennar

The Central Bank of Sudan, Sennar branch, announced the return of banking services at the Agricultural Bank and Sudanese Islamic Bank starting next week in Sennar city.

Sennar’s acting governor, Majdi Barir, met on Thursday with Bashir Mohamed Ahmed, director of the Central Bank of Sudan’s Sennar branch, and Dr. Mahjoub Ahmed Mohamed, the acting Minister of Finance and Economics.

The meeting discussed the role of the Central Bank and the Ministry of Finance in promoting public investments, mobilizing resources, and revitalizing the private sector. It also focused on encouraging the banking sector and its role in the state’s economy after the war.

Sennar’s governor praised the Central Bank’s role in restarting the banking sector in the city, contributing to the success of the currency exchange process and providing banking services that helped restore normal life in many cities across the state. The Finance Minister also thanked the bank for its contributions in financing vital sectors in the state.

The Central Bank manager confirmed that banking services would resume at the Agricultural Bank and Sudanese Islamic Bank next week in Sennar.
