The Director-General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development, Professor Ibrahim Adam Al-Dukhairi, expressed his sincere thanks to the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning and the Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources of Sudan.
He praised the significant role played by both ministries in enhancing the organization’s progress and supporting its efforts to achieve sustainable agricultural development, confirming that this support reflects Sudan’s steadfast commitment to supporting Arab joint action in the agricultural field.
In this context, Port Sudan witnessed the opening of the temporary headquarters of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development under the current circumstances in the country. This opening affirms Sudan’s central role in supporting Arab joint action under all circumstances, especially in agricultural and developmental fields.
It is worth noting that the organization’s main headquarters is located in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, which is a symbol of Arab cooperation in this field.
During the opening ceremony, the Director-General of the Arab Organization for Agricultural Development delivered a speech in which he expressed his gratitude to the Sudanese government for its continuous support of the organization, highlighting the importance of enhancing joint efforts to achieve sustainable development in the agricultural sector.
He confirmed that the opening of the temporary headquarters at this stage reflects the determination to continue the organization’s work despite challenges, with a focus on enhancing cooperation and integration among member states.
This event comes amid the current circumstances facing Sudan, emphasizing Sudan’s pivotal role in supporting the course of Arab cooperation, particularly in agricultural fields, which are a key pillar for achieving food security and economic development, not only in Sudan but across the entire region.
