Sudan Events – Follow-ups
On Saturday, the Chairman of the Sovereign Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, visited the Jili oil refinery following its liberation from the Rapid Support Forces militia. He assessed the extent of the destruction caused by the militia to this vital and strategic facility.
Burhan pledged to rebuild what the militia destroyed so that the refinery could return to normal operation as one of the country’s important economic resources. He emphasized that the destruction and sabotage caused by the militia to this national facility would not go unpunished.
He added, “We made a pledge to the people that we will continue to fight this rebellion until we cleanse every inch that the criminal militia of Al-Daqlo has polluted.”
