Launch of the Campaign Against Disease Vectors in Sennar and Al-Suki

With the support of the Federal Ministry of Health, a campaign to combat disease vectors was launched in the Sennar state, specifically in the Sennar and Al-Suki localities.
Dr. Ibrahim Al-Awad, the Director General of Health in Sennar State, praised the role of the federal ministry and its support for these programs. He stated that the campaign began after all arrangements, including labor and work equipment, were completed, and he commended the significant efforts of the Primary Health Care Department.
For his part, Nasser Abdullah, the Executive Director of Sennar locality, emphasized the importance of campaigns to fight disease vectors, especially after the damage caused by the Rapid Support Forces militia. He confirmed that the local team would follow up on the campaign and address its challenges.
Meanwhile, Mohamed Abdel-Fattah, the Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid in the state, revealed full coordination with relevant authorities, noting the Commission’s support for these activities.
Fatima Mohamed Abdel-Halim, the Director of the Primary Health Care Department in Sennar Health, stated that the campaign includes controlling both the larval and adult stages of disease vectors through fog and mist spraying with machines mounted on vehicles and shoulder-mounted sprayers, in addition to household inspections for mosquitoes that transmit dengue fever. She thanked all the workers involved in the campaign.
At the same time, Iklas Fadhel, the Director of Vector Control at the Ministry of Health, confirmed that her department would closely monitor the campaign, ensuring its progress. She emphasized that the department’s plan includes reaching all localities.
