Serie A: Retegui Leads Atalanta Comeback Against Como

Atalanta overturned a deficit against Como to claim a 2-1 victory, thanks to a brace from international striker Mateo Retegui, earning their first Serie A win after four winless games in Saturday’s opening match of the 22nd round.

Coach Gian Piero Gasperini’s side owes its victory to Retegui, who scored in the 56th and 70th minutes, extending his lead as Serie A’s top scorer with 16 goals. Como had initially taken the lead through Argentine Nico Paz in the 30th minute.

The Bergamo-based team now sits in third place with 46 points, achieving their 14th league win of the season. It was their first victory since defeating Empoli 3-2 on December 22, after enduring three draws and a loss in their previous four matches. Como remains in 13th place with 22 points.

Later on Saturday, Napoli hosts Juventus in a top clash, while Bologna faces Empoli in the day’s final match.
