Completion of Customs Integration and Acceleration of Integration with Commercial Banks

Lamia Mohamed Noor, the Director General of Information Technology and Chair of the Technical Committee of the Electronic Payment Chamber at the Ministry of Finance, revealed that the network integration of the Customs Forces Management System with the electronic collection system has been completed. She also mentioned that work is accelerating to finalize the interfaces for integration between the electronic collection and payment system (Eisaly) and the commercial banks with which contracts have been signed. She indicated that the needs of remaining units for networks and equipment, according to the required specifications for completing the electronic linkage processes, have been fully identified.

During a meeting of the ministry’s technical committee on Sunday, consensus was reached on the importance of using guides and manuals to regulate the procedures for electronic collection and payment, as well as the significance of comprehensive training for system implementers and beneficiaries. It was also emphasized that the reliability and security of electronic transactions must be confirmed according to electronic authentication procedures. Additionally, ways to ensure collection at remote locations were discussed, along with the requirement to transfer cash collections directly on the same day to the Ministry of Finance’s account (21) at the Central Bank of Sudan.
