Energy Minister Discusses Oil Cooperation with Indian Ambassador
Sudan Events – Reports
The Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Dr. Mohieddin Naim, held a meeting on Monday with the Indian Ambassador to Sudan to discuss the resumption of cooperation between Sudan and India in the petroleum sector.
During the meeting, the minister received an invitation from India to participate in the India Energy Week, set to be held in New Delhi in February. He confirmed that the ministry will participate with a high-level delegation of technical and financial experts. The visit is seen as a valuable opportunity to meet officials from the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) to explore potential collaboration between the two countries in the oil sector.
It is worth mentioning that the Indian company previously operated in Sudan in the exploration and production of oil. India, alongside China, has been one of Sudan’s key partners in oil extraction.
