Inter Milan delivered a dominant performance to secure an emphatic 4-0 win over Lecce on Sunday, staying hot on the heels of Serie A leaders Napoli.
The victory moved Inter to 50 points, three behind Napoli, with a game in hand. Lecce, meanwhile, sit 17th with 20 points.
Inter controlled the game from the outset. Marcus Thuram showcased excellent footwork in the box to set up Davide Frattesi for the opener just six minutes in.
Lautaro Martínez doubled Inter’s lead with a stunning strike from the edge of the box six minutes before halftime.
The Nerazzurri continued their dominance in the second half, with Denzel Dumfries scoring the third in the 57th minute. Mehdi Taremi completed the rout with a penalty after Lecce goalkeeper Vladimír Falcone fouled Frattesi.
