Celtic Re-Signs Jota

Celtic Football Club announced on Monday that it has re-signed Portuguese winger Diogo Jota for five and a half years, pending the international clearance. Meanwhile, striker Kyogo Furuhashi has joined Stade Rennais in France’s Ligue 1.
Jota (25) initially joined Celtic in 2021 on loan before securing a permanent contract in 2022 from Rennes, after a spell at Saudi Arabia’s Al-Ittihad.
Jota told Celtic TV: “It’s very nostalgic for me, because I had wonderful moments in all the times I spent here during my season. I’m really happy to be back. I’m really excited and can’t wait to start. I feel a lot of excitement. The last year and a half has had ups and downs, but that’s life, and that’s football. Now I can’t wait to work hard, join my teammates again, and get going.”
Jota has scored 28 goals in 83 appearances for Celtic, helping the team win the Scottish Premiership and the League Cup in his first year with the club.
Meanwhile, Furuhashi, who joined Celtic in 2021, has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Rennes.
According to British media reports, the 30-year-old has signed a deal worth £10 million.
