Fluctuations in Foreign Currency Exchange Rates in the Parallel Market

The exchange rates of foreign currencies against the Sudanese pound in the parallel market have shown noticeable fluctuations. While some currencies have maintained their recently achieved high rates, the Egyptian pound and the Qatari riyal saw a slight decline, while the British pound registered a significant increase.

Foreign exchange market traders said that the price of the dollar in parallel market transactions on Monday stabilized at 2650 pounds, while the Saudi riyal remained steady at 706.66 pounds, and the UAE dirham stood at 722.07 pounds. The euro was priced at 2704.08 pounds, while the British pound saw a slight increase to reach 3312.5 pounds. On the other hand, the Egyptian pound declined slightly to 52.51 pounds. The Bahraini dinar was priced at 6973.68 pounds, the Qatari riyal decreased slightly to 726.02 pounds, the Omani riyal was at 6973.68 pounds, and the Kuwaiti dinar was priced at 8548.38 pounds.
