Sudan Events – Follow-ups
The Director-General of the Ministry of Finance, Economics, and Labor in Gezira State, Acting Minister Atif Mohammed Ibrahim Abu Shouk, urged fuel station owners in Madani to accelerate the rehabilitation and maintenance of their stations to ensure they are ready for operation.
During the inauguration of the “Oil Energy” station in the New Market of Madani, in the presence of the Governor of Gezira and security committee members, he stated that the fuel stations, like other services such as water, electricity, health facilities, and even places of worship, were severely damaged or looted by the rebel Rapid Support Forces militia.
Abu Shouk announced, according to the Sudan News Agency, that in the coming period, 10 fuel stations will be operational after completing their maintenance and rehabilitation. This will allow citizens to access services once again. He also noted that maintenance and rehabilitation work will continue across all service facilities in Madani.
