The Minister of Minerals, Mohamed Bashir Abdullah, issued a ministerial decision appointing Geologist Consultant Ahmed Haroun Al-Toum to assume the duties of the General Director of the General Authority for Geological Research.
It is worth mentioning that the previous Director-General of the Authority, Dr. Mohamed Said Zain Al-Abidin, who was appointed to carry out the duties of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Minerals, was included in the decision issued by the Cabinet and the Ministry of Labor regarding the retirement of undersecretaries, secretaries-general, and heads of units who reached the legal retirement age.
