Sudan Events – Follow-up
The Sudanese Islamic Movement stated that the rumors about a meeting between the Secretary-General of the movement, Ali Karti, and Hasabo Mohamed Abdel-Rahman in the Turkish capital, Ankara, are “pure lies.”
The movement added in a statement, “The Secretary-General is currently in Sudan, performing his duties as required by the delicate national situation the country is going through. The movement has made its clear stance by siding with the national front and supporting the armed forces and its leadership.”
