Jaber: Opposition to Currency Replacement Supports Rebellion

Sudan Events – Reports
Member of the Sovereignty Council and Assistant Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Ibrahim Jaber Ibrahim, emphasized that the Artillery Corps is a stronghold of patriotism, courage, and valor.
During his speech on Wednesday at a gathering at the Artillery Corps headquarters in Atbara, he highlighted Nile River State’s crucial role in ensuring the country’s food security and supporting the “Dignity Battle.”
He stated that Sudan had faced one of the biggest conspiracies aimed at undermining its identity, resources, and wealth. According to Jaber, the rebellion had failed from its very onset, leading adversaries to shift towards economic warfare by looting banks, destroying industrial facilities, and causing financial instability. He pointed out that currency replacement was part of a strategic plan to counter this economic war.
Jaber declared that those opposing the currency replacement initiative were effectively supporting the rebellion. He accused opponents of shifting their tactics to media warfare, spreading false rumors, and attempting to create discord. He also dismissed claims of an impending famine as politically motivated, asserting that Sudan would not face starvation.
He commended the state government’s efforts in agriculture and industry, emphasizing the need to link agriculture with industrial output and enhance export infrastructure, particularly through the expansion and development of Atbara Airport. He praised the initiative to hold an investment and industrial forum, asserting that Nile River State, with its vast resources and capable population, serves as Sudan’s strategic backbone.
