Rashford Looks to Revive Career with Aston Villa

Marcus Rashford is aiming to revive his football career at Aston Villa after joining the club on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season. The move comes after he was left out of the plans of new United manager Ruben Amorim.
The deal was completed late on Sunday, with neither club disclosing further details.
Several British media outlets reported that Rashford could join Aston Villa permanently for £40 million ($50 million). Villa will also pay a loan fee and cover most of his salary, which is said to be around $400,000 per week.
The 27-year-old, one of the Premier League’s most well-known players, has not played for Manchester United since December 12 due to concerns over his commitment in training.
He was also left out of the England squad and did not participate in last year’s European Championship.
There had been speculation that Rashford might move to Italy or Saudi Arabia, but he will remain in England and must now prove to Aston Villa manager Unai Emery that he deserves playing time.
Aston Villa recently sold Colombian striker Jhon Durán to Saudi club Al-Nassr for £64 million ($80 million), according to reports on Friday, leaving them in need of a forward to compete with Ollie Watkins.
Rashford has played 426 matches for Manchester United, scoring 138 goals.
