Khartoum Governor: The War Is Nearing Its End

Khartoum Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza arrived in the Shambat area in Bahri locality, where he inspected security checkpoints and stationed forces securing residential areas.

He praised the steadfastness and dedication of the forces in protecting civilians and their properties after liberating the area from rebellion, commending the heroic actions of the Sudanese Armed Forces, security units, and volunteers in the Battle of Dignity across Bahri and the entire state.

The governor performed Friday prayers at Sheikh Zain Al-Abidin Mosque.

In his speech to the worshippers, he emphasized the importance of providing essential services to address the challenges caused by the war. He declared that “the war is nearing its end” and directed the Bahri local administration to expedite the restoration of water, electricity, humanitarian aid, and environmental sanitation.

He also urged youth to contribute their efforts in improving environmental conditions, supporting voluntary returns, and protecting homes from illegal encroachments.
