Gedarif: Seized Stolen Goods Worth 150 Million Sudanese Pounds

The acting governor of Gedarif, Major General Mohamed Ahmed Hassan Ahmed, followed up on the achievement made by the state’s police in seizing a number of stolen goods, including spare car parts valued at 150 million Sudanese pounds, 11 cars, large quantities of car oil, and several sacks of sesame, all of which were found at the state’s police headquarters today, in the presence of the state’s security committee.
The acting governor praised the efforts of the state’s police officers in addressing crimes and criminals, confirming the state’s commitment to safeguarding the assets and property of citizens. He also announced a financial donation for the officers who accomplished the seizure.
Meanwhile, the state’s police director, Major General Essam al-Din Mahjoub, emphasized that the police would remain vigilant in protecting citizens’ property and ensuring the security and stability of the state, reinforcing ongoing efforts to uncover those responsible for theft and other crimes.
Police Major Mohamed al-Fatih Abdel Latif, the head of the state’s police investigation department, stated that most of the stolen goods had been taken from Khartoum and Al-Jazeera states, which had been affected by the ongoing conflict. He confirmed that the police had arrested four suspects under Article 130 of the Penal Code, reiterating the state’s police commitment to fighting all forms of crime that threaten community security and safety.
