Merchants of New Halfa Decide to Close the City’s Market

Sudan Events – Follow-ups

The Chamber of Commerce in the New Halfa locality, Kassala State, announced a strike and a full closure of the Halfa market starting from Tuesday.

The chamber linked the end of the strike to resolving the issues faced by traders, which include high fees imposed on goods from the trade and supply administration, the local authority, taxes, and business licenses, which negatively impact the citizens.
