North Korean Leader Causes Massive Explosion in the Capital

North Korea’s state media reported that the country’s leader, Kim Jong Un, triggered a massive explosion during a groundbreaking ceremony for a construction project in the capital.

Footage showed Kim delivering a speech in Pyongyang on Sunday, surrounded by crowds, before turning a key to ignite a series of detonations that sent huge clouds of dust and smoke into the air.

According to Sky News, the project aims to construct 10,000 apartments in its first phase as part of a five-year plan to build 50,000 new residential units. In his speech, Kim stated:
“Hwasong will soon become famous not only as a cradle of a happy and modern life for our people but also as a land of history, telling new miraculous stories of our invincible socialist Korea.”

The Hwasong area has already seen the construction of several new residential buildings in recent years. Kim pledged to continue the “sacred struggle” for prosperity and security, according to North Korea’s state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Monday.
