Export of a Gold Shipment

The Director of the Unified Gold Export Window, Dr. Saif Al-Din Mohammed Ayoub, revealed the export of a massive gold shipment on Wednesday.
Ayoub confirmed to Al-Ahdath that gold exports are continuing smoothly without any obstacles.
Meanwhile, goldsmiths and traders have complained about complications affecting gold exports. The former head of the Sudanese Goldsmiths, Traders, and Exporters Association, Atif Ahmed, told Al-Ahdath that many gold export operations have halted due to rising costs.
At the same time, an official, who preferred to remain anonymous, stated to Al-Ahdath that the government is keen on exporting gold as it is officially relied upon to support the economy. He noted that Sudan’s gold production last year exceeded 64 tons, of which 31 tons were officially exported.
