Mineral Resources and MTN Discuss Collaboration to Develop the Mining Sector

The General Manager of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company, Mr. Mohammed Tahir Omar, received a delegation from MTN Telecommunications, led by the company’s CEO, Ziad Nasser Sobh, and accompanied by the Head of Business Sector, Ahmed Ghandour.
The two parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation in telecommunications and technology to support and develop Sudan’s mining sector.
During the meeting, MTN presented a range of services tailored for the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company. The discussion focused on MTN’s extensive branch network, particularly in mining areas, and its advanced solutions in telecommunications and internet services.
Mr. Mohammed Tahir Omar welcomed MTN’s proposals, affirming that integrating telecommunications with the mining sector aligns with the company’s digital transformation strategy. He emphasized that facilitating communication services is crucial for traditional miners, who play a vital role in supporting the national economy.
For his part, Ziad Nasser Sobh praised the collaboration, expressing MTN’s eagerness to contribute innovative solutions that enhance mining sector development and improve telecommunications infrastructure in remote areas.
