Sudan Events – Follow-ups
A delegation from the Civil Democratic Alliance for Revolutionary Forces, “Smod,” participated in the consultative meeting held by the African Union (AU) and IGAD at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa, with the attendance of various Sudanese political and civil groups.
According to a statement from the alliance, the “Smod” delegation presented its vision calling for an end to the war, addressing the humanitarian crisis, protecting civilians, and initiating a Sudanese dialogue that tackles the root causes of the crisis and lays the foundation for sustainable peace in Sudan.
These consultations are set to continue over the next two days to explore the perspectives of various Sudanese civil actors.
