Memorandum of Understanding Between “Mineral Resources” and Gedaref for the Establishment of an Oxygen Station

On Sunday, the Government of Gedaref State signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Sudanese Company for Mineral Resources to establish an oxygen station in Gedaref, with a total cost of $234,000, to be equally shared between the state and the Sudanese Company for Mineral Resources. The agreement was signed by Ahmed Al-Amin Adam, Minister of Health and Social Development on behalf of the state, and Engineer Mohamed Taher, CEO of the Sudanese Company for Mineral Resources, with the presence of Major General Mohamed Ahmed Hassan, Governor of Gedaref, and several government officials.

Ahmed Al-Amin Adam, Director General of the Ministry of Health and Social Development, explained that the oxygen station to be implemented in the state is part of the corporate social responsibility of the Sudanese Company. He emphasized that it will be a significant addition to the state in light of the expansion of health services across the region. He also pointed to the state’s health plan aimed at localizing treatment within the country and providing all necessary medical equipment to ease the burden on the people of the state.
