Sudanese Customs Forces Director General Chairs the 45th Meeting of Arab Customs Directors in Cairo

The Acting Director General of the Sudanese Customs Forces, Lieutenant General Salah Ahmed Ibrahim, chaired the opening session of the 45th meeting of Arab Customs Directors, held at the headquarters of the Arab League in the Egyptian capital, Cairo. The meeting was attended by the Directors General of Customs from Arab countries and was highly praised by the participants.
The Sudanese Customs Forces delegation included Police Brigadier Faki Abdullah Ali. The meeting discussed the outcomes and recommendations of the previous meeting and the progress made in their implementation.
The Acting Director General reaffirmed the commitment of the Sudanese Customs, despite the challenges facing the country, to implementing the resolutions and recommendations of the meeting to enhance customs cooperation and achieve development and prosperity in the Arab world. He also expressed gratitude and appreciation to all customs administrations for their efforts and fruitful cooperation during the previous session, wishing success to his successor in leading the new term.
On the sidelines of the 61st regional meeting for North Africa, the Middle East, and the Near East, the 45th meeting of Arab Customs Directors, the Director General held several meetings with his counterparts from Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Somalia, Yemen, and Qatar. These discussions focused on developing human resources, enhancing information exchange and communication between customs administrations, and implementing the outcomes of Meeting 45 to achieve the Arab Customs Union in the near future.
According to Sudanese Customs Forces media sources, Lieutenant General Salah Ahmed Ibrahim also participated in the Arab Smart Customs Forum, which aims to exchange ideas and build strategic partnerships among Arab customs authorities. The forum provides an opportunity for networking and learning about best international practices in modern customs systems to improve customs performance, with broad regional and international participation.
