19 Martyrs in Military Plane Crash

The Sudanese army announced that one of its aircraft crashed while taking off from Wadi Sayidna Airport on Tuesday evening.

In a statement, the army said, “We mourn a number of martyrs and injured, both military and civilian. The injured have been transported for treatment, while firefighting teams managed to control the blaze at the crash site in Al-Iskan, Block 75.”

The statement added, “Glory and eternity to our honorable martyrs, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”

In this context, Khartoum State Governor Ahmed Othman Hamza expressed his condolences for the martyrs of the plane crash, which resulted in the aircraft falling onto a residential house in Al-Iskan, Block 75, Karari.

The governor oversaw the efforts to extinguish the fire caused by the crash, which was successfully put out by civil defense teams upon their arrival. Meanwhile, the Khartoum State Ministry of Health provided emergency medical assistance, with ambulances transporting the injured.

The morgue at Al-Nou Hospital received 19 martyrs, while search efforts continue for other victims under the house’s rubble. Among the injured civilians were two siblings, one of whom is an infant, who are receiving medical treatment.

Dr. Fath Al-Rahman Mohamed Al-Amin, Acting Minister of Health, extended his condolences to the martyrs. Senior officials from the Ministry of Health, including Dr. Ahmed Al-Bashir Fadlallah, Director of Therapeutic Medicine, and Dr. Jamal Al-Tayeb, General Director of Al-Nou Hospital, were present at the hospital to oversee the situation.
