Zelensky to Meet Starmer in the UK on Sunday

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is expected to visit the United Kingdom on Sunday to meet with Prime Minister Keir Starmer, a British government source said on Wednesday.

The source stated that the meeting will take place during a summit chaired by the Labour leader with European leaders in London, focusing on European defense issues. This follows a visit Starmer will make to the United States, where he is scheduled to meet with President Donald Trump on Thursday.

Zelensky had previously announced that he “intended” to visit London, though without specifying a date, according to AFP.

During a press conference in Kyiv, Zelensky said, “After the United States, we will see if I go there. I plan to visit London… and after that, I will meet with the Europeans and Keir Starmer.”

Meanwhile, Trump confirmed on Wednesday that his Ukrainian counterpart will visit Washington to finalize a framework agreement concerning the exploitation of Ukrainian minerals.
