UEFA Fines Real Madrid and Closes Part of Its Stands

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has fined Spanish club Real Madrid €30,000 due to unspecified discriminatory behavior by fans during their recent Champions League match against Manchester City.
Additionally, Real Madrid has been handed a partial stadium closure penalty, which is currently suspended.
UEFA stated on Friday that the Spanish club is under a two-year probation period, during which 500 seats could be closed for a future match if another offense occurs.
It remains unclear what specific behavior led to UEFA’s decision to sanction Real Madrid during the match, which took place at the Santiago Bernabéu on February 19.
Real Madrid won the match 3-1, securing their place in the Round of 16 with a 6-3 aggregate victory over both legs.
