The spokesman for the “Sumud” alliance, Jaafar Hassan, confirmed their readiness to sit down with the Chairman of the Sovereignty Council and Commander of the Army, General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, and negotiate with him regarding stopping the war. He added, “We will go to Port Sudan if he agrees to end it.”
Hassan, according to “Al-Jazeera Mubasher,” stated that Al-Burhan had agreed to meet with them and to their vision for ending the war, but he later declared that he does not wish to sit with them.
