The Sixth Infantry Division announced that it had destroyed a SarSar armored vehicle belonging to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) along with its entire crew and seized weapon and ammunition depots of the militia in the southeastern direction of El Fasher.
In a press briefing, the division stated that its forces, during regular combing operations in the eastern and southeastern neighborhoods of El Fasher, managed to kill and injure dozens of militia members, destroy several of their main positions, and take over some of their sites. The operation also resulted in the dispersal of nearly an entire faction and the capture of several RSF fighters as prisoners. These captives revealed that the militia’s future plans included preparing to attack convoys heading to Darfur and cutting off their routes.
The division also reported that its forces shot down and destroyed several kamikaze drones launched by the militia at various neighborhoods in the city without specific targets. It further noted that on Friday, the militia shelled southwestern neighborhoods, but the attack did not result in any casualties.
