Standards Authority Sends Support Convoy to Khartoum

The Director-General of the Sudanese Standards and Metrology Authority, Rahba Saeed Abdullah, reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to upholding quality standards in both peacetime and wartime. She also expressed support for the Sudanese Armed Forces in their “Battle of Dignity,” appreciating the recognition received from Al-Jazira State’s government, the military division, and the General Staff during their reception of aid convoys from the Authority’s employees.

Meanwhile, General Mohamed Othman Al-Hussein, Chief of Staff, welcomed the aid convoy dispatched by the Authority to Khartoum, the General Command, the Signal Corps, the Military Academy, and the War Museum.

Addressing the Authority’s delegation, led by Dr. Ahmed Sayed Ahmed Omar, Director of the Nile River Sector, General Al-Hussein commended the Authority’s role and national stance in supporting the army against the “terrorist RSF militia.” He emphasized that this position would be recorded in history as a noble act in the annals of national service.

Dr. Ahmed Sayed Ahmed Omar expressed his gratitude for the meeting, conveying greetings from the Authority’s Director-General and employees to the Chief of Staff and his deputies. He stated that the convoy is part of ongoing support efforts, highlighting the shifting military dynamics in favor of the Sudanese Armed Forces. He reaffirmed the Authority’s continued backing of the military, which is “sacrificing lives to cleanse the country of rebellion and maintain its unity, stability, and sovereignty.”

Dr. Ahmed also stressed the Authority’s vital role in consumer protection and national economic security through strict oversight of imports, exports, and local production. He highlighted partnerships with both public and private institutions, universities, research centers, and civil society organizations.

As part of its social responsibility initiatives, the Authority has provided aid to various sectors, including kidney dialysis centers, youth and sports programs, civil resistance groups, funeral services, and orphaned children. Additionally, it has distributed aid packages to wounded soldiers at the military hospital and police hospital, while also conducting public awareness campaigns on standardization and consumer protection.
