A Musical Performance During the Halftime of the 2026 World Cup Final

FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced on Wednesday that the 2026 World Cup final will feature the first-ever halftime musical performance in the tournament’s history.

The 2026 World Cup, which will include 48 teams, is set to take place across the United States, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. The tournament will feature 104 matches instead of the previous 64, including an additional knockout round.

The final will be held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, home to the NFL’s New York Giants and New York Jets.

Infantino stated on his Instagram account: “I can confirm that the first-ever halftime show at a FIFA World Cup final will take place in New Jersey, in collaboration with Global Citizen.”

FIFA will partner with Global Citizen, an organization focused on education, along with the British band Coldplay, to organize the halftime performance.
