America Halts Intelligence Sharing with Ukraine

CIA Director John Ratcliffe announced on Wednesday that the United States has “halted” intelligence sharing with Ukraine amid tensions between Kyiv and the White House.
President Donald Trump had a heated exchange with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in the Oval Office last week, which was followed by the suspension of vital U.S. military aid to Ukraine as it faces Russian aggression.
Speaking to Fox News, Ratcliffe said, “President Trump had a real question about whether President Zelensky was committed to the peace process.”
He noted that the freeze on cooperation “on both the military and intelligence fronts” is temporary, assuring that the United States will eventually “work alongside Ukraine again.”
On Tuesday, Trump stated that Zelensky had informed him that Kyiv was ready to negotiate with Moscow and strike a deal regarding minerals.
Zelensky sought to mend ties with Trump, writing on social media that their clash was “unfortunate” and that he wanted to “set things right.”
Later that day, in his address to Congress, Trump read aloud a portion of Zelensky’s message.
“The message states that Ukraine is ready to sit at the negotiating table as soon as possible to move closer to achieving lasting peace. No one wants peace more than the Ukrainians,” Trump told lawmakers.
