A report published by The Guardian has revealed evidence of a torture center and a mass grave outside the Sudanese capital, Khartoum. The site was previously under the control of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
Survivors rescued from the site said they were tortured, starved, and witnessed the deaths of fellow prisoners.
The report estimates that more than 500 people died from starvation and torture and were subsequently buried in a secret grave in northern Khartoum, according to evidence seen by The Guardian.
Following the RSF’s withdrawal from the site, the Sudanese army discovered a secret facility with shackles hanging from doors, rooms appearing to have been used for torture, and blood-stained floors.
