Sudan Events – Reports
A security force from the East Nile Criminal Investigations raided a house in the Al-Fayhaa Block (2) area, an apartment building occupied by elements of the RSF militia.
The raid led to the seizure of two machines used for counterfeiting currency, one scanner, and a modern LaserJet color printer. Additionally, authorities found a large quantity of colored inks and counterfeit banknotes in 500 and 200 Sudanese pound denominations, along with printing paper stolen from the National Currency Printing Press in Khartoum.
Authorities have taken the necessary legal measures under Case No. 19, filed under Article 117 of the Penal Code at the Al-Haj Yousif police station.
Eyewitnesses in the area confirmed that the house was occupied by an RSF leader, with frequent visits from combat vehicles and private cars used to transport counterfeit money to unknown destinations.
According to police sources, the field investigation unit continues to pursue suspects and collaborators involved in currency counterfeiting to bring them to justice.
