Unprecedented Surge in Gold Revenues in River Nile State

The Director of the Sudanese Mineral Resources Company’s office in River Nile State, Moataz Haj Noor Mohammed, announced a significant surge in mining revenues during February 2025, with over 8 trillion Sudanese pounds deposited for the benefit of local communities and the Zakat Office.
Haj Noor affirmed the company’s commitment to regularly transferring partners’ shares and praised the cooperation of relevant authorities in strengthening oversight and regulation, which positively impacted revenues.
River Nile State Governor Dr. Mohammed Al-Badawi Abdul Majid commended the efforts of the company’s General Manager, Mohammed Taher Omar, and the policies that have contributed to stabilizing the mining sector. He praised the outstanding performance of the company’s office in the state, which achieved the highest revenue levels.
