“Chinese Grand Prix”: Norris Looks to Confirm Superiority Against Verstappen as Ferrari Aims for Redemption

McLaren’s British driver, Lando Norris, who claimed his first Formula 1 Grand Prix victory in Australia, knows he will face tough challenges this week at the Chinese Grand Prix, which features the season’s first sprint race.
Norris, last year’s runner-up, survived a late off-track excursion that damaged the floor of his car on his way to defeating Red Bull’s Dutch driver, Max Verstappen, the reigning four-time world champion.
Norris finished a distant second behind Verstappen when Formula 1 returned to China last April after a five-year absence due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this time, the 25-year-old Briton enters the race as a leading contender for victory.
After his triumph in Melbourne, Norris said: “I am confident we will be very strong in China because we were competitive there last year, even with a car that wasn’t very good.”
