On Thursday, the Sudanese army continued tightening its grip on militia elements inside the Republican Palace in central Khartoum.
The army took control of the Kuwaiti Tower, which overlooks Nile Street and is only a few meters from the palace, in addition to securing the entrance to Mek Nimr Bridge from the Khartoum side.
