Northern State Celebrates National Harvest Festival

Sudan Events – Reports
On Thursday, Northern State celebrated the second National Harvest Festival, with participation from national leaders and the agricultural sector, under the patronage of Transitional Sovereign Council member, Lieutenant General Consultant Ibrahim Jaber.
The project’s General Director, Azhari Bilal Kabashi, affirmed the readiness to commence wheat harvesting operations, highlighting the large cultivated areas this season and anticipating high productivity per acre.
He reassured that Sudan will not face hunger, stating that the expected production this season—despite agricultural challenges—will be sufficient to cover any food gaps in the country. He assured the Sudanese people that Northern State can secure national food security.
It is worth noting that Muawiya Al-Barir’s project is considered one of the leading investment projects in Northern State. The project spans thousands of acres and has seen the installation of numerous irrigation pivots, alongside utilizing the latest agricultural technologies to enhance productivity and achieve self-sufficiency in strategic crops like wheat.
