OCHA Faces Cash Crisis in Aiding Sudanese People

Sudan Events – Reports

The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has stated that the ongoing liquidity crisis in Sudan is making it difficult for humanitarian partners to provide assistance.

OCHA emphasized that cash distributions are crucial for helping Sudanese people access food and essential services. However, the cash shortage is preventing people in Sudan from obtaining basic goods and services, as liquidity issues and funding shortages persist.

In January, humanitarian partners provided $4.4 million in cash assistance to 129,000 people, but urgent support is still needed.
